A combination of Structural Integration, Deep, Sports, Myofascial Release, and Active Trigger Point Release techniques centers on realigning the deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the tense areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia. It is particularly helpful for continually tight and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Therapeutic massage is much more than just a “hard massage.” In contrast to only relaxing muscles, the specific lengthening of fascia, muscles, and tendons offers many benefits such as increased joint movement, quicker injury recovery, better posture, as well as feelings of well-being.
Cupping can be used almost anywhere on the body to boost circulation, enhance tissue flexibility, and move stagnant lymph fluids. Cupping therapy stimulates blood flow, carrying essential nutrients to nourish and repair damaged tissue. This improved circulation leaves your skin and muscles feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Combined with gliding techniques, cupping massage can bring relief to compressed tissues, smoothing out knots and relieving stiffness to facilitate better movement and flexibility.
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) works by applying controlled microtrauma to the affected area, which stimulates the body's natural healing response. The instruments used in IASTM are typically made of stainless steel or other hard materials and come in various shapes and sizes, allowing the practitioner to apply different levels of pressure and target specific areas of the body. By applying pressure to the skin and underlying tissues, IASTM can help break up scar tissue, adhesions, and other soft tissue restrictions, improving blood flow and promoting tissue healing.
